This KrishnaFest its our joy and pleasure to welcome Vineet Chander as our special guest speaker. A Bhakti Yoga practicioner for years, he joins us from Princeton University where he is the coordinator of Hindu Life. He is a legal and communications consultant, writer, and teacher, specializing in the Hindu diaspora community. He is a regular contributor to a number of publications and is the Hinduism columnist for Beliefnet.com. In previous incarnations, he has been a New York City prosecutor, a cable TV show host, and a hospital chaplain.
This Sunday at Krishna Fest he will share with us the remarkable story of Prince Dhruva’s quest, found in the pages of the Bhagavata Purana (one of ancient India’s most beloved wisdom texts), that has delighted, enthralled, and enlightened spiritual seekers for generations. Join us as we explore the story of Dhruva’s remarkable journey, and discover our own path from uncertainty and insecurity to hope and finally to the unconditional loving shelter of the Divine.

The Krishnafest experience
Krishna Fest at UrbanEdgeYoga is pretty cool. The atmosphere is comfortable, friendly and non-threatening. Feel free to ask any question. You may be surprised to get profoundly satisfying answers to questions you never thought answerable. Or, if you are just curious, that’s okay too. Don’t be shy; many first time adventurers come to Krishnafest every week.
Would you like to know more?
The Krishna literature teaches that we are not our external material body; nor are we the endlessly restless mind. Instead, we are a spiritual being of pure consciousness. The nature of pure consciousness is to be continuously happy. However, our consciousness is currently masked by the mind and body. Just like dust covering a mirror. All activities at Krishnafest help to gradually wipe the dust off the mirror and reveal the true happiness that lies beneath. Try it, see for yourself and taste the bliss.
